Kasargod, Feb 12: The cyber cell of the Kasargod police department has been keeping an eye on WhatsApp activities within the district to control cyber crimes. Recently three cases were booked pertaining to cyber offences committed through cell phones.

The cyber cell is believed to be collecting data on hundreds of WhatsApp groups. It is common knowledge that people from all walks of life including students and professionals belong to WhatsApp groups where they send messages to one another. Sometimes wrong and fake messages are sent which lead to tensions.

Police have requested the general public not to become members of unknown groups. Whenever unpleasant or communal messages are posted, one should immediately leave the group. The administrator of the group and the people who forward the messages would be held responsible under the IT Act and the IPC. These are non-bailable offences. People just cannot get away saying that they are ignorant of law, said the police.

Police have instructed the public to inform them in case they find any groups/individuals spreading rumours or inciting hatred through WhatsApp.

COMMUNTAL GROUPS BELONGING TO HINDU IDEOLOGIES ARE THE NUMBER ONE TENSION CREATORS IN THE COUNTRY. FIRST OF ALL PUNISH THESE HINDU GOONS UNDER IPC AND PUT THEM BEHIND THE BARS AND MAKE THEIR ACTS AS NON-BAILABLE. EVERYTHING ELSE WILL BE FINE BY DEFAULT IN INDIA. POLICE NEED TO BE EDUCATED DURING COMMUNAL CLASES BY THE HINDU IDEOLOGISTS. IT SO HAPPENS POLICE JOING THE SAFRON FLAGS AND WEARING KHAKI TRY TO HARASS THE MINORITIES LIKE MUSLIMS AND CHRISTIANS. DON'T BEAT AROUND THE BUSH BY TAKING SO SILLY THE SOCIAL MEDIAS LIKE WHATS APP AND FACEBOOK IN REPLACE TO BD, VHP, SENE, RSS, BJP ETC. HOPE THE MESSAGE IS CLEAR TO THE EVERY SENSIBLE AND EDUCATED CITIZEN OF INDIA.

Some people engaged with spreading the false propaganda, self created stories, modified photos or pictures. Police have to stop this from the base and culprits should punish them severely. These kind of messages creating unnecessary tensions in the society.
