Kasargod, Feb 14: Kavya (15), a student of the government higher secondary school in Kumble and daughter of Ravichandra from
Kumble Kanchikatte in Kasargod district passed away at a private hospital in the Mangaluru city on Friday February 13.

Kavya had suffered severe burns after kerosene stove of her home burst into flames when she was inside the kitchen on February 12 at her home in Kumble. She was taken to Mangaluru for treatment, but in spite of their best efforts, doctors could not save her.

Kavya was a tenth standard student. A day's holiday was declared for Kumble government higher secondary school on Friday to record grief at her untimely demise.
