Udupi, Jan 16: As being done every year on the following day of Makara Sankranti, 'Choornotsava' was held in Car Street here on Monday, by the eight Maths, led by Shri Krishna Math.
All Swamijis of Udupi Maths, with the exception of Puttige Swamiji, were present on the occasion.
The decorated elephant of the Math was one of the attractions. A large number of devotees gathered on the occasion.
Some devotees were seen doing bodily roll over ('Urulu Seve') on the street, in votive fulfilment.
