Mangaluru, Feb 15: Udupi district tops in the state with the students from Class 3 to 5 having a better knowledge on mathematics compared to other districts as per the Annual Status of Education Report (ASER).
The percentage of students in the category of class 3 to 5 students who have a knowledge of mathematics is 82.7% in Udupi district while Hassan stands second at 59.9%. Dakshina Kannada's percentage is only 55.4 %.
In the class 1 category Hassan scores high with 79.6 %, Udupi stands at 79.3% while Dakshina Kannada lags behind at 70.3%.
