Puttur, Feb 15: A young woman has died of chicken pox at Nekkiladi near Uppinangady.
The deceased is Alphonsa Sequeira (26) wife of Anish Sequeira.
Alphonsa died at her maternal home. She had come there to deliver her child. She had delivered the child a week back at Nelyadi hospital. But after two days of the delivery, she contracted chicken pox.
On February 13, Alphonsa developed problems in breathing . She was immediately rushed to hospital, but was declared brought dead.
The baby of the deceased has been sent for special care to a Mangaluru hospital.
Local MLA Vasantha Bangera visited the house of the deceased to offer condolences to her family.
