Bantwal: Congress candidates get elected in land bank election

Bantwal, Feb 16: At the election held to Bantwal Taluk Primary Cooperative Agricultural and Rural Development Bank, Congress candidates came out victorious. Election was held at B C Road on Sunday February 15, and all the 12 seats went to Congress-supported candidates.

Although BJP-supported candidates had promised of a tough fight, current president of the bank, Sudarshan Jain, vice president, Sanjeeva Poojary, zilla panchayat member, Chandraprakash Shetty, and other candidates fielded by the Congress easily decimated the opposition.

Minister, B Ramanath Rai, zilla panchayat member, M S Muhammed, taluk panchayat standing committee chairperson, Ida Suresh, Panemangalore block Congress committee president, Abbas Ali, and other leaders were present at the spot since morning to ensure victory of Congress candidates.
