New healthcare facility opens in Al Qusais, Dubai
Dubai, Feb 16: Thumbay Hospital's 150-bed private teaching hospital affiliated to Gulf Medical University, with ultra-modern facilities to offer highly affordable services in Dubai, is all set to open on February 21.
Thumbay Hospital, a leading name in healthcare in the region aims to be the leading network of academic hospitals in the Middle East. The main focus is to provide patient centered care of the highest quality in an academic set up.
The new hospital with initial strength of 150 beds, of which 50 beds are operational, will start its services from February 21. It is established as a brand providing quality care to patients from all over the region. The hospital is a part of Thumbay Group and GMC Hospitals and will be affiliated to Gulf Medical University Ajman.
As part of our strategic plan, we are in the process of building a network of teaching hospitals under the Thumbay brand, in Ajman, Sharjah, Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Plans are also afoot to launch our hospitals in India and Qatar, says Thumbay Moideen, founder president, Thumbay Group UAE.

Another unique feature of Thumbay Hospital is a 25 chair Dental Hospital, which is the first Dental hospital in the country. It is a full-fledged multi-specialty centre with world class ultra-modern facilities providing quality healthcare at affordable prices.
This hospital also supports the clinical teaching activities of the College of Dentistry, Gulf Medical University, UAE. The dental section will offer services in general dentistry which includes orthodontics, prosthodontics, endodontic and oral surgery. In the medical section, internal medicine, orthopedics, radiology, pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology services to name a few are offered. With highly qualified specialist doctors and strong support team, the centre aims to uphold the mission of “care without compromise”.
