Dubai, Jan 18: It was indeed history when all the 4 members selected to play for the CBSE Gulf Schools Tennis Championships at Chennai (India)  between January 18 - 23,2007 after having beaten Oman and Bahrain.

Sundeep Lewis (17 years) and his younger sister Sumeetha Lewis (13 years) Nigel Lobo and Rikita Pereira (9 years) were jubilant as they departed from the Dubai airport yesterday to take part in this prestigous event at Chennai.
 
Sundeep and Sumeetha are also the first time brother sister duo to play for these matches.  Sumeetha has represented last year at the tournament.,Both the children of Herman and Nisha Lewis are not only brilliant in their academic careers, but top every extracurricular activity they are in. They are also the members of the Creation Gavel Club.
 
Nigel Lobo son of Norman Lobo (working for Barwil Unitor shipping services and Sheila Lobo hail from the Kemmanu Parish in Udipi. He has a younger sister Nicole Lobo. Nigel too is barely into the game but has already mastered it in a short span. Not only had it proved his capability to caputre the sport but also he is an avid reader and keen computer  lover.

Rikhita is the youngest star of the team. She has already created history by bagging so many medals and prizes at such a young age. She is a very enterprising and upcoming sportsperson and also excels in her studies. She is the daughter or Rudolf Hadrin (who has his own building maintenance and contracting company ) and Anita Juliet Pereira (who is working as an Accountant for Dubai Natural Gas) and hail from the Baindur Parish.
 
A special mention has to be made of the ardent efforts put in by the coach Ganesh of the Indian Sports Club who has not spared time and energy in coaching all the above 4 children.
 
Ajith the Sports Secretary of the Indian High School along with the parents of the children gave them a warm and loving send off for the great event which will start from Jan 18, 2007.
