Puttur, Feb 17: A pedestrian, who was injured in an accident near Kabaka here, and was being treated in Mangaluru hospital, breathed his last late night on Sunday February 15.
The deceased has been identified as Sesappa Naik (55), son of the late Chenna Naik, resident of Nehru Nagar in Kabaka here.
Sesappa Naik was walking by the side of the road near his home on the night of February 11, when a private bus moving to Puttur from Mangaluru hit him, inflicting grave injuries on him. After providing him treatment in the town, he was shifted to Wenlock Hospital in Mangaluru in view of his serious condition. His condition deteriorated and he died on Sunday night.
A case in this connection stands registered in traffic police station here.
