Mangaluru, February 17: The postgraduate department of English of St Aloysius College (autonomous), Mangalore is organizing a One Day National Seminar on “Revisiting Shakespeare: 450 Years” on February 19, 2015.
The seminar will commence with the inauguration at 9.30 am in the Eric Mathais Hall, Maffei Centre for PG studies.
The seminar will also witness, The third annual late S C Frank memorial endowment lecture. This year, the endowment lecture will be delivered by Dr Leo D’souza S J, director, lab of applied biology, St Aloysius College (autonomous) who will talk on 'Shakespeare as a scientis'.
The other lead paper presentations are by Dr P P Raveendran, professor Emeritus, School of Letters, MG University, Kerala and Dr S Ganeshan, associate professor, H H The Rajah’s College, Pudukottai, Tamil Nadu.
During the inauguration ceremony of the seminar our II MA student, Nikita Carol Ferrao’s first novel, 'Falling for my crazy stalker' will be released.
The expected audience is around 100, with registered participants from Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Goa including students, research scholars and academicians. Around 39 research papers will be presented by the participants.
The valedictory is at 4.30 pm at the same venue. The chief guest is Prof Ronald Pinto, vice principal, St Aloysius College (autonomous).
