Hyderabad, Jan 19: More than 40 persons were feared drowned on Thursday when a boat capsized on river Krishna, about 200 km from Hyderabad, in Andhra Pardesh's Mahabubnagar district.

The victims were coming from Murrvakonda village in Kunrool district to participate in a local festival at Singotam when the mishap occurred, Mahabubnagar district superintendent of police K Srinivas Reddy said.
