Kasargod, Feb 18: M A Abdul Khader Musliyar (91), a revered Sunni scholar of eminence in the entire south India, breathed his last on the night of Monday February 17. He was a religious leader and president of Samastha Kerala. He was a resident of Kasargod Trikkaripura Udumbathila.

M A Abdul Khader Musliyar, who was popularly known as M A Ustad, had obtained membership of Samstha Kerala Jamayyatul Ulema in as far back as in 1946 back, and thereby pledging to the cause of providing worldly education alongside religious one. He became member of Mushawar in 1960, and rose to fame with the name, M A Ustad. He became founder member of Samstha Kerala Islamic Religious Education Board in 1951, Sunni Youth Federation in 1954, and founder member of Jamiyyathul Muslimeen in 1958. He had discharged duties in various capacities appreciably, and was made the president of Samastha Kerala in 2014.

M A Ustad also happens to be the president of Mujammah organization. He was serving as general manager of Jamia Saadiya Arabia since 1979. He has left behind thousands of followers, disciples and fans from all over Kerala and Karnataka.

Karnataka health minister, U T Khadar, has condoled the death of M A Ustad.
