'Ferarites UAE'  Luanched in Dubai

Dubai, Jan 20: It all began with a noble thought. A handful of our Parishioners came together with the aim to unite all of our Ferarites here in the U.A.E.

Today 19th Jan 2007 will be Marked with golden letters in the history of Ferar, as the First ever inaugural function of Ferarites-U.A.E was held under the Patronage of Rev. Fr. Maxim Noronha, here in the U.A.E at Winny’s Restaurant, Karama – Dubai.

A warm welcome was extended to all those present by Norbert Sequeira. We were led into prayer by Cyril Pereira. Word of God was read by Robert D’Souza, followed prayers of the faithful.

A moment of silence was observed to remember and pray to the soul of Rev. Fr. Shenoy, our former parish Priest who passed away in the month of November 2006.

A special song was sung as the welcome song by all the committee members.

Fr. Maxim Noronha Presided over the Function. Vincent Pereira, founder President of Ferarites-U.A.E, accomapnied the honourable guests viz. Rev. Fr. Freddie D’Souza (Asst. Parish Priest – St. Mary’s Church, Dubai), Joseph Mathias (MD – Merit Freight Systems LLC, Dubai). All the guests were felicitated by our Committee members.

Vincent Pereira, founder president in his brief speech thanked all the guests and sponsors, explained the aims and the forthcoming plans of this Association for the year 2007.

Keeping in line with the traditions of our motherland, a lamp was lit by the chief guests to mark the inauguration of this association. An oath was administered by our Rev. Fr. Maxim Noronha for the founder office bearers.

A special Christmas edition of our Parish Magazine “ Ferarchem Preran” was unveiled by Rev. Fr. Freddie D’Souza.



A letter of Honour was read and presented to Fr. Maxim Noronha, for his tremendous achievements at Ferar Church. He was honoured with a shawl. On this occasion, a donation cheque of Rs. 60,000 was presented to the Church to buy a professional musical instrument.

The chief guests, in their brief speeches appreciated the initiatives taken by the association and wished them every success for the future.

A bouquet of entertainment with games was organized by the association for the guests.

A sumptuous Buffet Lunch was provided to all the guests.



The function ended with vote of thanks by Leslie Pinto – Founder Secretary of the association.
