Mangaluru: Kanachur Hospital to launch advanced facilities on Feb 22

Mangaluru, Feb 19: Newly-established Kanachur Hospital and Research Centre will launch various advanced facilities at its premises in Deralakatte on Sunday, February 22 at 9 am, and also organize a free medical camp on the same day.

This was revealed at the press meet at its premises here on Thursday February 19.

The Kanachur Hospital and Research Centre is run by Kanachur Institute of Medical Sciences under the leadership of enterpreneur Kanachur Monu. The hospital has been established with the aim of serving the public and providing the best medical education. The hospital will introduce advanced facilities in the medical field using mordern technologies.

In addition to the state-of-the-art building, the hospital will have a spacious new outpatient department (OPD) block. The OPD block will be inaugrated by state forest and district incharge minister B Ramanath Rai.

The free medical camp that has been arranged to help the public to maintain better health will be launched by state health and family welfare minister U T Khadar. The casuality department will be inaugrated by Azeezia Medical College chairman Haji Abdul Azeez. The radiology block with advanced equipment will be inaugrated by member of parliament Nalin Kumar Kateel. Dakshina Kannada deputy commisioner A B Ibrahim will inaugrate the the new operation theatre complex of the hospital, while sports and youth affairs minister Abhayachandra Jain will inaugrate the neonatal intensive care unit (NITU). The central lab of the hospital will be inaugrated by SCDCC bank chairman M N Rajendra Kumar. The blood bank will be inaugrated by Karnataka bank managing director P Jayarama Bhat and the intensive care unit by Dr Mohammad Ismail.

Kanachur hospital finance and administrative director Abdul Rahman will present a brief report on the hospital.

Mangaluru North constituency MLA Mohiuddin Bava, Mangaluru South constituency MLA J R Lobo, Puttur constituency MLA Shakuntala Shetty, MLC Ivan D'souza, Dakshina Kannada zilla panchayat vice-president Sathish Kumpala, N S Kareem, Kotekar gram panchayat president Shekar Kaneerthota and Kanachur hospital advisory board vice-chairman Dr Arunachalam Kumar will be the chief guests.

Kanachur Hospital and Research Centre chairman Kanachur Monu will preside over the function.

Kanachur Hospital and Research Centre chairman Kanachur Monu, Dr Khaja Nazeerudeen, dean Dr Deviprasad and Kanachur hospital advisory board vice chairman Dr Arunachalam Kumar were present at the press meet.
