Bantwal, Feb 20: An aged person who behaved obscenely with a lady who got down from a bus at the private bus stand in Vittal was beaten up by the general public on Thursday February 19.

Immediately after the people objected to his behaviour and beat him up, the man tried to flee. But the people caught hold of him, asked the victim to hit him with her sandal, after which he was handed over to the police.

The lady who alighted from a bus to work in a shop nearby, is a resident of Kolnad village, and happens to be a Christian. Moidin (58) from Kuddupadavu followed her closely and misbehaved with her, it is learnt.

After the man was arrested, his close relatives tried to convince the police to release him, by claiming that he happens to be mentally retarded. However, the policemen booked him under section 354 of Indian Penal Code, and produced in court, it is gathered.

    Think of vice versa case , if a girl abuses or thrashes a man in public , does the peaple interfere and police arrests the girl!!? . Answer is NO in most cases , still they think man is at fault. In the other thread , where a wife assaults husband , police do not arrest her !!. This is one sided women appeasement is quiet common with public and law enforcing agencies , spreading ' male hatred ' in society.

    Do not encourage the public to take the law in hand. In other words, beating or physical torture is allowed legally??? At the end the victim should responsible to make a complain. It has mentioned that victim is christian, culprit is muslim. So who are these public??

    I pray god to keep the girls safe... Women must unite and handle the situation. They must conduct meetings in all ladies club on how to handle situations when a guy acts indecently. I ask all parents to send their girl child to karate class for their own safety..

    Most of such criminals conduct criminal act towards honest people and then such criminal goes to jail then parents, relatives, grand parent go there and cry my son is innocent, never done anything wrong, he has some issues in thinking good,blah blah goes on and on and then secular people god asked us to forgive and we do it and story continues and the same man does again and again and look at the whole world what is happening same story From India to USA to Africa. Our leaders are all sleeping with thick blankets covered, politicians busy with vote bank, police hand in gloves with gangsters and poor man carry the burden on thier shoulders to live a simple life with threat from terrorist cumjihadist, communal superstars and many. What a sad world are we living in. VERY SAD. I hope the girl is okay now. Thrash this Moidin with steel rods and break his bones forever. 58 years old still continue his same thinking.
