Kasargod: Burnt body of CPM activist found in Kanhangad

Kasargod, Feb 22: A CPM activist was found charred to death in Kanhangad on the morning of Saturday February 21.

The deceased is Rajan (33) and his body was found in a behind his house.

It is suspected that he was set on fire with kerosene and diesel. When the residents of the house got up in the morning, they found that Rajan was missing.

In a road accident that occurred on the morning of Friday February 20 at Markkada, Kananghad, a relative of Rajan had died. Rajan had taken part in his last rites and had gone to sleep at night after returning home. The circumstances leading to his death are not yet known.

The wedding of Rajan's brother Rajiv was scheduled for Thursday February 26 and preparations were going on for it.

Hosadurg police have registered a case.
