12 killed in second attack in Nigeria


Abuja, Feb 24 (IANS): At least 12 people were killed in a bomb attack at a bus station in the Nigerian city of Kano Tuesday, a media report said, barely five hours after a similar attack hit a crowded bus station in Potiskum town killing 14 people.

According to a witness, at least 12 bodies were recovered from the scene of the attack, according to a Xinhua report.

Several people were also injured, the witness added.

A member of the local transport union said the toll might increase as rescue workers were still searching the area.
