Mangalore, Jan 25: The annual car festival of Car Street here began on Thursday, January 25.

On Friday the Gaud Saraswat Brahmin community will celebrate Okuli Habba (Holi).

Car festival is celebrated during the Maag season of the lunar calendar.

The importance of the five-day festival is the celebration of the wedding of Lord Venkataramana and Godess Padmavathi.
