Mangaluru, Feb 26: Relating to the attack on a college student in connection with a Facebook post that was claimed to be not in good taste, the Suratkal police have arrested two persons. A case of murder attempt stands registered against them.
The arrested men are Chittaranjan (30) from Krishnapura and Guruprasad (23) from Kinnigoli. They had allegedly beaten up a final year BCA student of a college in Suratkal named Muhammed Riyaz(20) and inflicted serious injuries on him.
The police have also taken into custody two residents from Kuladi, Ranjith and Abhijith, who have been accused of pelting stones at Kulai mosque and inflicting damages to the building.
