Mangalore, Jan 28:  Rapid Action Force (RAF) Personnel of the 105th company entered the city on Jan 27 in view of security arrangements for the Viraat Hindu Samajotsava which will be held on Jan 28.

The presence of the company of Coimbatore-based RAF has brought a sense of security to the citizens at the same time passing on a stern message to trouble makers.

Over 3,000 policemen have been deployed in the district. On Saturday, the RAF Company staged a Flag March. The company is headed by Deputy Commander Eric Gilbert Jos.

The flag march which started at the District Police Office premises passed through the sensitive areas of the city towards Ullal.
