Mangalore, Jan 28: The clock struck 3 pm on Sunday, January 28 and crowds started pouring into the city from various parts of the district.
Men, women and children joined the rally which culminates at Nehru Maidan where the stage programme will be held.
Mohan Bhagwath, Sarakaryavaha, Rashtriya Swayam Sevak Sangh will address the gathering at the venue.
To the sound of drums, the Hindu brethren danced shouting slogans “Bharat Matha Ki Jai.”
The police who were on guard had blocked all traffic movement between Jyothi Circle and Hampankatte.
