Mangalore, Jan 29: Keeping up his words, deputy chief minister of Karnataka B S Yediyurappa participated in the Mahamastakabhisheka ceremony held in Dharmasthala on Sunday, Jan 28.

Speaking after inaugurating the ceremony, he said that our nation is highly esteemed in the world as a land of noble principles, rich heritage and culture. This image will be upheld by the government, he said.

Events of great importance like the Mahamasthakabhisheka help preserver this image of the country.

Union Minister for planning M V Rajashekar who was overwhelmed with the arrangements at Dharmasthala called it a small world. The pilgrim centre is visited by people of various caste, religion, nationalities and languages. This model needs to be replicated in other places to attract tourists, he added.

Pejwar Math swamiji was also present on the occasion. Jain monks gathered in large numbers at the venue.
