Mangalore, Jan 29: Union Bank of India with its present business level of Rs 150 crore over 4 branches in Mangalore and Udupi plans to open immediately 4 more new branches in these two districts and additional 17 branches in districts of Hassan, Chikmaglur, Uttara Kannada and Kodagu.

 

This was informed by chairman and managing director M V Nair in a press meet held here recently.

With 90 branches and 35 ATMs spread over 22 districts of the State, the Bank has a business mix of Rs 4500 crore in Karnataka, with 2 regional offices located in Bangalore and Belgaum.

“Mangalore as a hub of exciting economic development and a centre attracting huge investments in various sectors has been reckoned by the Bank for a focused expansion, both by increasing Branch network and establishing a business support office,” Nair said.
