Mangaluru: Group clashes near Talapady - Two arrested

Daijiworld Media Network - Mangaluru (SP)

Mangaluru, Feb 28: In connection with the group clashes at K C Road near Talapady relating to dispute over hanging of buntings and banners, the police have taken into custody several people.

Two have been arrested for their involvement in the disturbances. In the meanwhile, prohibitory orders issued within the limits of Ullal and Konaje police stations have been extended till March 2.

The arrested men have been identified as Shafique (31), residing near the water tank at Kinya, and Aslam (28) from Talapady.

Stones were pelted against each other by two gangs, after hanging of buntings and flags relating to Talapady temple at K C Road Junction on Wednesday was objected to by another gang. Several people were injured in stone pelting incidents, and some vehicles were damaged.

In the meanwhile, no fresh incidents were reported from within Ullal police station on Friday. The policemen have been enforcing prohibitory orders by asking shops and establishments to down their shutters by 6 pm. Some residents of K C Road have expressed anger at the harsh treatment people returning home after work in the evening faced at the hands of policemen. Additional police forces including Karnataka State Reserve Police have been deployed at Mogaveerapatna, Mukkacheri, Thokkottu, Deralakatte, Kuthar etc.

Police dept must respect on their dress and on post. Should not show any partiality. On all recent clashes they trigger on innocents. Real trouble makers still breathing freely in open air.

Your intention of complicating things here to mislead the readers because your people are caught with the act yet again can be understood. But readers are not fools to buy your nonsense groupisem story. Boss this is simple open and shut case.

One community was putting a banner or something in a freedom country, another community which thinks this is thier place or whatever and others are not supposed to enter there . Argued with the group. They dint budge. Hate mongers started throwing stones. Instigated other group to retaliate. Police now arrested the people who started the riots in first place. That's it. No Sunni no salafi. Only a bunch of intolerant hate mongers who believe in "no to peace" disturbing the public. That's all

In shimoga incident those chaddies who started riot are not dealt in same manner..instead arrested other party ...there is clear photo and video proof...
In karaya incident those who instigated riots are freely roaming....
Here those who burnt shops of few innocents and made them unemployed are not arrested...You have right to arrest culprits....but dont follow "ondu kannige benne ondu kannige sunna" policy...
It is time for muslims to be united enough of discrimination under congress rule......Is law really blind...??

Mr. Prakash, i think your one eye is blind and both the eyes are blind. There is a proof that RSS Goondas pelted stones and attacked PFI marchers with lethal weapons, but none is arrested. In Talapady, many shops were burnt, but again none from RSS goonda organisatin is arrested and instead some innocents from Muslim community are arrested. Why Karnataka police are showing double standard and it seems Karnataka govt is also busy in appeasing RSS goondas

    Mr. Shaji,
Blindly before commenting to me, first open ur both eyes. In Shimoga incident u hv the proof means let police arrest those goons whoever causes the fire first. In Talapady c the root cause. I don’t want myself/any govt to support goondas, instead justice should prevail. In the meantime don’t point ur fingers only on RSS. See other secular organizations too. Now a days might be to defame RSS, all acts are being done with pre plan. U r very smart in blaming only RSS for all the attacks, even they are not in picture, by covering black cloth on ur eyes. Why? Don’t say arrested goons are innocent until u have the proof. Mutually v have to agree that what’s happening is not good for the society or peace loving citizens.

You reminded the days bygone. When we were kids, any religious functions were the functions of the town. For Ganesh Chowthi, Khadericha used to play loud the devotional songs from his sound system shop. There was free Laddu from ‘Bhatra Hotel’ for everyone at Eid procession. The ‘Jaathre’ s and festivals at church was a celebration for all.

I think it was the ultra appeasement policy of Congress for long years created a gap of jealousy between communities. Insecurity among majorities, is cashed upon by some fringe groups, I am excluding RSS from this intentional coz I know it from inside.

Now the gap has grown too wide, but still could be bridged. May your tribe increase.(I didn’t mean your religion ) )
