Udupi: Divya Jyothi felicitates tenth standard students

Udupi, Feb 28: Under the leadership of Divya Jyothi Udupi Diocese, felicitation of 10th standard students who scored highest marks in the school level catechism exam conducted by the diocese was here in Don Bosco Hall. Around 33 students from different schools in and around Udupi were felicitated.






















Chief guest Fr Gerald Issac Lobo, Bishop of Udupi diocese felicitated the students with mementos and certificates. He congratulated all the students and told them that just like a mother teaches her children prayers and inculcates in them faith in God, similarly we should learn to share that faith we receive from our elders with others. Now the times have changed. There are huge buildings but we hace no faith in the almighty nor in others. He further said our life should be like the house that is built on rock and be examples for others.

Fr Chethan Lobo editor of 'Uzwad' fortnightly spoke on the topic 'Christian families: A model for consecrated life'.

Fred Mascarenhas parish priest of Mother of sorrows Church, Udupi was present. Welcome dance was performed by St Cecily's School and St Mary's School students.

Fr Steevan D'souza director of Divya Joythi, Udupi diocese welcomed and extended the vote of thanks.
