Udupi, Jan 30: A young man who had gone fishing near Malpe port here drowned after falling into the sea on Sunday January 30.
Daniel Praveen Kumar (31), a resident of VB Road near post office at Malpe had gone for fishing near Malpe port on Sunday. As he was fishing, he slipped and fell into the sea. Though a few locals who were present there tried to rescue him, they did not succeed.
Praveen's body was finally found on Padukere sea shore on Monday January 29. Reports said that Daniel was working in Mangalore and was on leave on Sunday. The Malpe police have registered a case in this regard.
