Udupi, Jan 30: A memorandum was submitted to the deputy commissioner V Ponnuraj by a group of people who have been asked to give up their lands to Suzlon Infrastructure Limited (SIL) at Padubidri here, demanding the revaluation of their lands.

The memorandum stated that though the people had received notice from the Special Land Acquisition Officer to produce relevant documents relating to their lands to enable payment of compensation as per the land value, the owners of the lands were still unaware as to how much value the authorities had fixed for their sites.

The land owners also alleged that the authorities had not followed the stipulated guidelines when valuing the lands, and urged the administration to revalue the same.
