Acknowledgement with a grateful heart
A word of gratitude from the family of the late Mickmax
Mangalore, jan 31: When my husband Micky (Mick Max) left us for his heavenly abode, a year ago, I myself and my two children - Karishma and Karan were devastated beyond words. For a while we felt as if we have lost everything; that we are thrown into the wilderness to face the life alone and without support from the outside world. Perhaps the sudden gloom over the family failed our spirit.
But soon we realized it was not to be. We had our both families around us guiding and guarding us all along with much required comfort and solace. There were well wishers, admirers and friends of Micky from world-over, many of whom we had not even met till then who came to our support, in words and in deeds. They instilled in us the courage to live on and prepared us into facing the facts of life.
Today, as we are nearing the first death anniversary of Micky, we wish to recall to our mind all those who stood behind us during the times of our grief.
Particularly we wish to thank the Daiji family – Daiji Dubai, the writers' forum, Daiji Foundation – who realized the need of supporting us financially and the Daijiworld.com – the household website which brought the whole world and its people together in joining in our grief. Many of Micky's admirers even today overwhelmingly talk about an international funeral and his graceful departure from this world.
We are sure Micky was very fortunate enough to receive such a loving farewell.
I wish to acknowledge with a grateful heart, the financial support of many kind-hearted people who have contributed to 'Mick-Max Welfare Nidhi' launched by Daiji family. For the attention of all contributors, let me record here that Shree Hemacharya, the chief of Daiji Dubai and Walter D'Souza, the Editor-in-chief of Daijiworld, during their visit to the town recently handed over a fixed deposit receipt for Rs. 432,501 to us. This amount was in addition to a sum of Rs. 125,000 contributed to us last year, owing to which our daughter Karishma was able to pursue her graduation at St. Xavier's College, Mumbai.
On our part while we are thankful to all the generous contributors, we are sure Micky will invoke the eternal blessings on all of them from up above.
With kind regards
