Kuwait: Modern star holds its 25 th anniversary with Jenny cup

Kuwait, Mar 2: Jenny cup 2015 was held at Abbasiya ground on February 25.

The cup was organized by Denis Barboza, Anthony Cruza and the modern star boys.

The matches began early in the morning with the preliminary rounds consisting of 14 teams that participated in the tournament on a knockout basis. This was then followed by the semi finals and finals which were keenly fought between Uva Bharat and Mahesh XI.


Mahesh XI reached the finals by beating Arabian C.C in the semi finals, Uva Bharat reached by beating by Best XI.

In the finals, Mahesh XI won the toss and elected to bat first. Mahesh XI with major contribution from all players managed to score 66 runs in the allocated 8 overs. The top scorer was Shibu with 18 runs.

Uva Bharat needed 67 runs to reach the target and they managed to reach the target within 2 overs. The top scorer was Karam with his 39. The chief guests were Montu Futado and Mark.They handed over the trophies to the respective captains Mahesh of team Mahesh XI and of team Uva Bharat. Karam was the man of the match. They were congratulated on playing good cricket.

The Jenny cup is an annual tournament organized by Denis Barboza and Modernstar boys. they thanked all the participating teams for taking part in the tournament and all the Sponsors.
