Teacher trying to rape student thrashed, turned in to police

Belagavi, Mar 3: Residents of Beejagarani village in the Belagavi taluk thrashed a teacher of a higher primary school in the village after finding that he was trying to rape one of his students.

He was later handed over to the police. The incident occurred on Monday March 2 morning.

The accused has been identified as Maruti Parashuram Kankutkar.

It is said that the girl he was trying to rape was a fifth standard student of the government higher primary school (Marathi medium) in that village. The girl screamed for help when the teacher unexpectedly tried to rape her, after which nearby villagers rushed to her rescue.

He was taken into custody by policemen of rural police station here. It is learnt that some more students have now complained about sexual harassment they went through at his hands.

    @Richard,
    Recently, one of our family members when they visited a hospital, asked for a lady doctor for consultation because of very legitimate reason (due to the nature of examinations to be done by the doctor on the patient). But the personnel related to the concerned department started yelling at the patient saying that a patient should consider the doctor as God and should not put such conditions on him even though there was lady doctor available at that time for consultation. Then the patient chose the option of going to other hospital for treatment.

    Now days society & govt awake strongly for rape or molest case, especially in school, still i remember the pvt high school RLS comp Junior college Dharwad, there were teachers who take fun with girls, few girls who likes to enjoy the act get favour in exam, & those do not like this act facing harassment. since scaring about own respect the girls not reveal the matter. It was about thirty five years back incidents, I am sure still those worst insects in the name of teacher living at their old age around 75. and the girls now they are women crossed even middle age. My concern is one or other way these culprit should punish by nature's act that is Almighty law.

    gathering should have killed him on the spot. why the hell they handed over him. If it was evident as he was raping the student. Mob should have killed him on the spot. That's the only way we can stop these evils.

    Many pedophiles join schools to work as a teacher or as an non-teaching staff just to be in close contact with kids & misuse their innocence.
    The pedophile teachers leave a long lasting scar on kids by their sadistic actions & attitudes.
    Parents should constantly be vigilant of their kids & teach them on good touch & bad touch and encourage them reveling people who expose them self's or who show them bad pictures, videos etc
