Mysuru, Mar 3: In connection with the attack on director general of Administrative Training Institute (ATI) here, Rashmi V, sometime back, the police have filed charge sheet in the third Junior Magistrate (First Class) court here. The charge sheet lists 58 persons as accused in the case.

The police have named 114 witnesses, The 250-page charge sheet has given detailed account of what had happened. It is said that out of the 58 accused, 33 are employees of Bengaluru-based Bharani catering services, who lost contract after Rashmi enforced discipline and rules, 14 relatives of Venkatesh, a former employee of ATI, and present and former employees of ATI. CDs containing video recordings of CCTVs in ATI premises and some media cameras, were submitted to the court on February 26, it is gathered.

The charge sheet claims that the attack on Rashmi was not accidental, but pre-planned. The police have said that people connected with catering and some others who lost their jobs, had come together and planned this attack. The police have termed this attack as an attempt to murder.

Immediately after the attack, Rashmi had expressed the suspicion that police officer, Prasad, husband of her predecessor, Amita Prasad, would have been involved with the conspiracy. Rashmi had accused Amita of involvement with fraud running into several crores of rupees.

On October 15, 2014, gazetted manager of ATI, Venkatesh, had died after falling in a sump there. When his body was brought back to ATI premises after postmortem, Rashmi had been attacked.
