Bengaluru: Garbage truck hits two-wheeler - MBA student loses life

Bengaluru, Mar 4: In an accident which occurred near Kundalahalli Gate in the city on Tuesday March 3, an MBA student was killed after a garbage truck hit the two-wheeler in which she was travelling, from behind. The deceased was Ramya (22), daughter of Rangaswamy from Marathhalli here.

Ramya was the student of a private college in Channasandra. She was going to college from Marathhalli as a pillion rider in a two-wheeler driven by her college friend, when a garbage truck which approached from Varthur Main Rpad at Kundalahalli Circle, hit the two-wheeler hard from behind. Immediately after Ramya fell to the ground, the wheels of the truck crushed her head, causing instant death. The girl, who was riding the two-wheeler also fell down and suffered injuries. She stands admitted into a private hospital.

The truck driver fled from the scene immediately after the accident. Whitefield traffic police registered a case.
