Bengaluru, Mar 5: A woman died after a wall collapsed on her after being hit by a truck on reverse gear. The incident occurred at K R Puram here. The deceased has been identified as Stany Mary (45).
The tipper truck, which unloaded goods brought by it, was moving on the reverse, when it hit the wall surrounding Vengaiyana Kere tank. The wall crashed to the other side for a distance of about 12 feet, on three workers, Stany Mary, Lourdu Mary, and Siddamma. These three were cleaning the tank at the time. While Stany Mary died on the spot, the other two were admitted into the government hospital at K R Puram.
The driver of the truck fled immediately after the accident, abandoning the tipper on the spot. The locals rushed the three to the hospital. A case stands registered in K R Puram police station relating to this accident.
