Doha, Mar 6: Bunts Qatar Association organized  a 'fun sports day 2015' for  the Bunt community based in Qatar recently  at Al Sailiya Family Park.

Bunts Qatar sports secretary Roshan Shetty in his opening remark welcomed all and presented an overview of the event. President of the forum Prakash Chandra Ajila welcomed the gathering.

The event kick started with flag hoisting by the president, Prakash Chandra Ajila,founder president Ravi Shetty and guest Vanitha Shetty along with  managing committee members  Navaneeta Shetty  (vice president)
Uday Shetty (general secretary),Akshata A Hegde  (cultural secretary),Dhananjay Shetty(treasurer),Roshan Shetty       (sports secretary),Santhosh Shetty (joint secretary), Vijaya N.Shetty( joint secretary),Dhananjay Rai (coordinator)..

Members were divided into four groups of different colors with team marshal designated to each group as follows.

1.Doha Warriors - Green – Team Marshal: Jyothi Ravi Shetty
2.Mesaieed Magnets – Blue – Team Marshal: Supriya Sandesh Shetty
3.Dukhan Devils – Red – Team Marshal: Jeewitha Ashwin Shetty
4.Khor Knights – Yellow - Team Marshal: Vijaya Naresh Shetty

More than 15 games were organized for various age groups such as running race, frog jump, balancing the book, skip and run etc for kids,foot cricket and zig zag race for elders.

The high light of the event was coconut shot put event for ladies and coconut bowling for men. All the games were appreciated and supported with lot of cheer from their respective teams and most of them had a nail-biting and thrilling finish. The  atmosphere  was  friendly, fun filled  and sportive.

The games  were  conducted by Uday Shetty and Ramachandra Shetty , while Seetharam Shetty and Sudhakar Shetty were the judges and managed the score sheets.

The venue was set up by the ATS team led by Chandrashekar Shetty

'Doha Warriors Team in Green'  emerged victorious and lifted the rolling trophy. Following them closely  was 'Khor Knights Team in Yellow' lifted the runners up trophy.

Breakfast, refreshing beverages and lunch was served at the venue.

The event concluded with the prize distribution  by  visiting guests Vanitha Shetty, Lalita Rai , Deepak Shetty president, Karnataka Sangha Qatar, Ravi Shetty president, Tulukoota Qatar gave away the prizes to the teams.

Rolling trophy was presented to the winning and runner up teams by president of Bunts Qatar Prakash Chandra Ajila.
