Samajotsava is good to have.If at all upliftment of Hindu Culture & overall growth.Ex: Sri Virendra Heggade made lot of good for the society by bringing lot of schemes. If the Samajotsava directed towards this way every one without cast & religion should support. But what is happening is outherway round. This is way BJP & RSS making the vote bank policy. They spoil the beautiful Hindu Culture.Basically Hindu People & Hindu culture more beautiful & respectable.Let us make positive out of this samaveshas.

Samajostvas never be successful without abusing against Christians and Muslims. I m not saying this, This is the mentality of organizers nowadays in every Samjosthavas, Each time they bring at-least one of their top hatemongers and made him/her to deliver hate speeches against minorities and make chaos among people
Do they have any constructive work towards unity among casts, social decriminalization, dowry issues, concern for back ward people These are the real issues in front of the world to be discussed but unfortunately much of the energy spends on hat-redness and divisive topics

Off late lots of the precious time in DK is getting wasted on such natakams where the common citizens face lot of hardships and also loss of income due to forcible closure of shops, business etc., unnecessary tension for the law enforcing agencies!! One could imagine the huge amount of money going into such get togethers, all waste!! Alas the same money and effort would go into some constructive purpose we would improve by leaps and bounds!! When majority of our population is struggling to make ends meet such type of pompous functions are totally unjustified!!

The Days of Padayatra is seems to be over. Youngsters are not ready for hardship. Pollution centric Bike-Yatra is NOT justifiable as it is of no use. Whatever party or organization should not conduct Bike yatra which simply is a WASTE.

It just creates nuisance to the public. It is the idea of diseased minds.

As long as it is within the celebratory norms of the law it is appreciated. Hope it won't be a repeat of the situation that happened in Mangalore last week and left a bad taste in every peace loving people's mouth. The government must strictly warn whoever is organizing this event not to use the occasion for political leverage, provocative speeches and instigating violence and if so happens the authorities should immediately intervene and stop the function. Police are very particular in stopping all private gatherings and functions by 10.00 PM but these type of functions, is it because congress is secretly benefiting by the affected people who used to run to Congress for refuge. Not any more, thank God now there is another party which is more reliable and for all the people of India and that is AAP.

We are a majority hindu nation. We hindus make up 85% of the Indian population. We are strong and united enough and no one can break us. Minorities are only 15% of the Indian population and can never break us. So at the end why do we need hindu samajotsavas? Is it just to abuse and intimidate the minorities???

Karnataka Police experimented some type of security arrangements that being put in to practice in Managlore VHS which yielded fruits.I think same security steps would be taken in to practice. If such functions concentrates on it's own issues there is no reason of untoward incidents but if particular community targeted then there may be disturbances. Those who uses unparliamentary words toward other communities, then such person/persons made responsible along with organizer. We hope this VHS of Udupi will pass peacefully.

Good wishes for a peaceful program.
Slightly digressing with my query. Some statistics bother me. Wikipedia says "India produced 3.643 million metric tons of beef in 2012, of which 1.963 million metric tons was consumed domestically and 1.680 million metric tons was exported. India ranks 5th in the world in beef production, 7th in domestic consumption and 1st in exporting.

Can someone please explain, how these numbers are possible? If beef is so largely banned in Indian states, what are we exporting? and who is slaughtering?
