Mumbai, Mar 6: The cast of 'Rahasya' were found celebrating the continued screening of their movie in theatres beyond six weeks, yesterday night at Tisca Chopra's residence in Andheri. Director Manish Gupta said, "These days, films don't last inside theatres beyond a week or two. And 'Rahasya' has gone into its sixth week in theatres. That's a great achievement."

Kay Kay Menon who was among the revellers said that the successful run being enjoyed by the movie proved that real acting talent was still a major trump card to win over audiences. Star power, while good enough, genuinely talented actors could still pull in their fair share of movie going crowds. Tisca Chopra too felt that the movie doing so well was the most sincere compliment that an artist can receive because it goes to show that the people who watched their work truly appreciated it.

Ajit Andhare of Viacom18, said “It’s been a long and arduous journey due to all the issues we faced while releasing this film but we are glad that audiences and the film fraternity have unanimously liked the film. Manish’s tenacity had a large part to play in the film’s quality standards” Manish, returned the compliment saying that, “It’s only because I received Ajit’s and his team’s support, was I able to churn out a good product.”

Rahasya meaning mystery is the story of the death of a young girl in her own house and the baffling circumstances behind it. The movie's cast also includes Ashwini Kalsekar, Mita Vashisht, Major Bikramjit and newcomers Sakshi Sem and Kunal Sharma. It was released on the 30th of January.
