Mangaluru, Mar 6: The three-day Weddex India 2015 shopping festival bringing together a wide range of wedding attires, jewellery and accessories and even wedding planners and beauty salons, was inaugurated by mayor Mahabala Maarla at TMA Pai Convention Hall here on Friday march 6.
Addressing the gathering, Mahabala Maarla said, "Mangaluru is growing in business field, education and all other sectors. This exhibition is very unique as it fulfills different kinds of marriage requirements. I wish all the best to the organisers."
The exhibition includes an array of wedding jewellery, bridal wear, designer dresses for the bride and bridesmaids and stylish groomswear. Various kinds of wedding related products are are showcased by the exhibitors.
Weddex India 2015 is also an exhibition aiming to provide the best merchandising platform for buyers, merchants and suppliers in the wedding industry to meet with a mass of local and overseas clients which may unfold and develop contacts, businesses, co-operations, brand promotion and other business opportunities. Wedding planners and wedding professionals can exchange their new and innovative ideas, thoughts and views with the interested bride and groom which will give rise to new and innovative ideas.
Weddex India is an inaugral trade show of eXvents first launched in Mangaluru. Over 100 brands from 60 local and regional companies are being showcased.
Prominent names from the local and regional markets are showcasing their latest product during these three days. The exhibitors are from from Mumbai, Bengaluru, Kerala, Hyderabad, Calicut, Shimoga, Chandigarh and 50 percent from Mangaluru. The exhibitors' profile includes wedding planners, gems and jewellers, designer sarees, fashion designers, catering, confectionaries, beauty salons, makeup artists, bank, hotels, wedding venues, floral services/boutiques, healthcare and wellness etc.
Corporator Rauf, U B Saleem, former youth Congress president, Mohmmed Nisar, Zamzeer Ahmed, Saad Hussein, Sandeep Salian organisers of the exhibition were present at the event.
