Mangaluru, Mar 7: This is the story of a youngster aged about 20-21 years, who can neither speak nor walk like a normal person. He was admitted to hospital by a self-help group volunteer three months ago, but none of his family members have been traced so far, nor has anyone come looking for him. The youth too has given no clue of his origins.

The youth who was discharged from the psychiatry ward of KS Hegde hospital, Deralakatte on Friday March 6 and taken to Bengaluru for advanced treatment.

He was found three months ago fallen in a drain near Ullal's Paradise hotel. Razik Ullal of Hope self-help group who found him there administered first aid to him, and got him admitted to KS Hegde hospital. He was given ample care and treatment for mental illness, but he did not recover. He would also lose consiousness now and then, and there was no improvement in this condition either.

However, doctors hope that he will recover fully with steady long-term treatment. As Mangaluru has no facilities for advanced treatment, Razik will get him admitted to Home of Hope institute in Bengaluru run by Auto Raja.

Anyone who can recognize the youth or knows the whereabouts of his family members is requested to contact Razik Ullal, said Dr Ajay who treated the youth at KS Hegde hospital.

Razik Ullal has been engaged in social work for the past several years and has been helping destitutes. He has put in lot of efforts to trace the family members of the youth.

A amma, umma, maa or a mother only can think about her children in whatever conditions. I think his mother is not alive.

Mr. Razik I have no words to say brother for your great work, you are really doing something which would be one of the reason which will take you to paradise in sha allah. Surely Allah will reward you here in Duniya and hereafter.

Let us use our social media to find his parents. Lets us show to our people how we can utilize the social media for a good cause rather than spreading hatredness between human beings. I already did my part. Let us all spread the word and find his parents / families soon.
