The examinations will go on till March 27 in 1,1017 examination centres all over the state for which 6.11 lac students have enrolled.

A total of 34,733 students including 17,749 female students from Dakshina Kannada district are appearing for the exams.

As many as 15,746 students have registered for commerce, 12,236 for science and 6,751 have registered for arts stream in the district.

ALL the best young boys and girls, hope you will come up in flying colors for our twin districts.
During our times no CET. It was II PUC average in PCM for Engineering and PCB for Medicine. We had limited options to choose in professional courses. It was a very tough completion for us to get into good engineering or medical colleges. NITK used to fill above 95% in PCM and only 30 seats per branch of engineering. During our times, we had a total of 27 Engineering colleges (including Private and Government aided) within the state Only four (4) government medical colleges and six (6) private medical collages within the state for us to apply. If any one picks up a seat in Mysore for Medical then it was great achievement.
Citing this event, it reminds me of writing the PU exams for science stream during 1977/78. Out of which during 1977, the exams were postponed two times due to liberal leakage of papers!!!
