Bengaluru: Kannada director Siddaliangiah passes away


Bengaluru, Mar 12 (DHNS): Veteran Kannada director Siddaliangiah, 78 died of multiple organ failure at a private hospital in the City on Thursday.

Even as it was rumored that he died of swine flu, sources in Suguna Hospital, Rajajinagar, where he was admitted for treatment said that he died of multiple organ failure.

"He was admitted to the hospital as he suffered multiple problems such as diabetes and hypertension. His condition worsened and he died at 2pm today," the source added.

Siddalingiah was diagonised with swine flu in the month of February. However, he had recovered and that was not the cause for his death, the hospital confirmed.

His films include Bhootayanna Maga Ayyu, Bangarada Manushya and Namma Samsara.
