Suresh Marakala (29) from Honnekumbri in Heggunje village in Udupi taluk used to pester his father, Heriya Marakala (65), and mother, Babi Marakalti (60), for money to meet his personal expenses, and then fight with them when they refused.

He fought with them on this issue on May 2, 2012 afternoon too. Enraged at their refusal to part with money, at around 3.30 am the next day, he allegedly murdered his parents by clubbing them with wooden sticks when asleep, and then dragged their bodies to a place where cashew trees under social forestry scheme are standing, and dumped them there.

The then police sub-inspector of Brahmavar station had registered first information report in the case, and the then police circle inspector, D T Prabhu, had conducted investigation and filed charge sheet in the court.

Yes, he is just threatened to slash the throat of partner and he is already arrested and denied bail. It takes 10 years for Indian authorities to arrest the culprit and once finally it is done, he will get bail next day.

Though quantum of punishment is nothing but life imprisonment is the right way of punishment so that this person lives long and feels his wrong doing till very end of his life.
