Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (SP)

Bengaluru, Mar 14: The police have since registered a case Suo motu against Madurai-based police sub-inspector, who thrashed and kicked his daughter after pulling by her hair in the presence of people and his wife at Domlur here. Officials at Halasur police station, who had not registered a case after taking the family to the station after being alerted by two ladies, as the girl had refused to register complaint against her father, confirmed that the case stands registered now .

Social websites have profusely hailed a lady named Nivedita Chakravarty and her friend, Archana, employees of a private firm, who recorded the assault on mobile phone and spread information about the brutal violence let loose on a young daughter by a man, and the onlookers who did not come forward to help the girl in distress. Rajaram, the police sub-inspector in question, was reportedly angry as he was informed by someone that his daughter employed in the city was in love with someone.

The police said they have registered case pertaining to different sections governing committing atrocity on women, public insult, and physical assault. They added that they would soon arrest the person concerned and investigate the case further.

OMG! Such things usually happen in Afghanistan and some parts of Pakistan in the pretext of honor (killing) or ruthlessly punished.

By punishing own daughter in such a way, may lead to yet unknown consequence. It is too much to beat grown up daughter like that. If she is having an affair and she is in Love, no one can break their true relation. I hope this SI will get some warning/punishment for his ruthless act.
What can be guided by parental love and affection with proper understanding cannot be achieved by force from the parents.

This guy should be dismissed from his job. If he does it to his daughter, imagine what he will do to others.

I am grateful to God because finally a case has been registered against Madurai-based police sub-inspector,) who thrashed and kicked his daughter after pulling by her hair in the presence of people and his wife.We need to support the legal authorities to take serious actions against this couple. I still can't believe this can happen like this. What kind of mother is this? I congratulate Nivedita Chakravarty and her friend, Archana, employees of a private firm, to being brave and taking up this matter. God bless you and you will be blessed by all.
The parents believed an outsider and not their own daughter. They should have done the ground work. I request to all of you here, let us take the intent of this and comment here. This cannot and never should happen anywhere.

Every dog has its day...Law of the land....arrest that cop and keep him inside...he will understand other inmates pain now better...If he is beating his own daughter in public with so much brutality, how he may have handled culprits in his police station.....

Karnataka Cops why it took long to file a case against this MAD COP and his damm Wife? no matter daughter refused to register a complaint... as a courtesy you guys should have done it on your own as a respect towards female, but here it shows you guys have no respect. People who were just watching are like PIMPs i am sure they will not react until one of their own are not in the same situation. Hats off to Nivedita Chakravarty and Archana...

'case' always filed against a poor people...others escape free..
if possible let them record the complaint which happens often with rich family people..
don't become 'samaritan' for the wrong reasons..
when the family matters can be solved amicably why it's popularised so much..in the websites..
in this matter i appreciate the way of thinking of gal..not to file case against the father...
people are only look for the entertainment and not for any solution..

    vichitra jagathu..

I don't think you are so bollu. The girl in question is an adult and she is capable of thinking right and wrong. Her so called father has no right to hit her and that to in public. The girl might have been ashamed of being hit in public that she did not want to file a complaint. I feel her father should be been trashed and mother slapped for being a silent spectator.

I think this is original. Because originals do not come with prefix or postfix word 'original'.
Only duplicates mention 'original' to give more authentic feel.

@Bollu Mangalore, dear friend ,your Name is Bollu, but in fact you are Tollu.nothing inside.otherwise you wouldnt comment like this. His daughter is a adult.and father too could clear the case at home but not on road.dragging and thrashing, that too as a policist he should know what is to do.she didnt do anything wrong but fell in love.when he does to his daughter,do he think daughter will give off?never.she may elope with him or marry without telling a word to them. They should be Aware of it.instead he could inform and talk at home instead of making public Show.not educated enough.I doubt whether he is a policist,or wanted to fool public.

Not only in Karnataka but even in Tamil Nadu the police have taken note of the atrocity committed by their own man in other state and they have decided to initiate departmental inquiry to take disciplinary action against the cruel cop.
