Mangaluru, Mar 16: Health minister U T Khadar has said that the real culprits in the Mudipu unrest incident should be punished.

Khadar was speaking after he visited Noorania Juma mosque in Mudipu and other affected areas where stone pelting was reported on Saturday night in relation to a college tour by students.

“Some unsocial elements in the society have been trying to disrupt prevailing peace in the society. They destroy the peaceful atmosphere to spread communal hatred. They use some opportunities to pelt stone s at religious places. The persons behind the recent stone pelting should be punished with stern measures, “ Khadar said.

“The person who was responsible for the sexual assault on the child should also be punished.” Khadar added.

Khadar instructed ACP Kalyan Shetty, DCP Vishnuvardhan, Konaje inspector Raghav Padil and SI Sudhakar to carry out investigations on the stone pelting incidents.

MUDA chairman Ibrahim Kodijal, ZP members Santosh Kumar Rai Boliyar and Mamatha Gatti also visited the affected areas.

A group of miscreants had pelted stones at a bus which had been engaged carrying some students on a tour. They also had pelted stones at Noorania Juma mosque and ripped off some banners at Mudipu junction. It is alleged that a group also assaulted three people who were going home on an auto rickshaw. The reason cited for all these incidents was that the students from two different communities were going on a college tour.

At last a prudent desire by a responsible minister.
I request Khadar to bring these things to the notice of Home Minister & ask all police stations to be instructed to take appropriate action against peace breakers who have no right or authority to intervene in these matters.
Make the respective Police stations & Officers responsible if they side with these law breakers & harass law abiding citizens instead of taking in to custody these immoral people & take strict action against police so that it becomes a lesson for them in future not to support these illegalities.
Enough is Enough, Its Time To Act.
