Mangaluru girl Aafreen Vaz makes it to finals of Femina Miss India

Daijiworld Media Network - Mangaluru

Mangaluru, Mar 16: Mangaluru lass Aafreen Vaz has made it to the grand finale of the prestigious Femina Miss India-2015 to be held on March 28 in Mumbai.

The dusky beauty was born in Mumbai and later migrated to New Zealand. She was a contestant in New Zealand's next Top Model contest.

She is studying medicine in AJ Institute of Sciences in Mangaluru and started her modelling career with Fashion ABCD in the city. She is the brand ambassador of Fashion ABCD. She took part in the prestigious Campus Princess 2015 pageant and was crowned as the Campus Princess of India-2015. This is how she got direct entry into Miss India 2015.

Fashion ABCD, the fashion event management and model, celebrity management company is confident of Aafreen winning the crown and making Mangaluru proud.

Apart from modelling, Aafreen Vaz has varied interests which include reading, writing, dancing and public speaking. She believes that one should be one's own best friend and that a woman should possess confidence, compassion and charisma. "She shoul have confidence in who she is and her choices, and have compassion for every living being around her. Every woman has charisma, it is just a matter of radiating it out," she says.

She is passionate about modelling and says 'walking the ramp and owning it' gives her a high. Having migrated to New Zealand some years ago where she attended college, she holds overseas citizenship of India (OCI), and wishes she could vote in her own homeland.

As budding doctor, she aims to educate the rural women of the country on the importance of health checkups and self-examinations. "Once educated, they can help with early detection of diseases like breast cancer and treatment becomes more effective. In a huge country like ours, I would consider this life-changing and life-saving education for many," she says.

Her advice to the youth of today is, "Follow your dreams and no one else's. If it is truly something you desire you will find a way to get there, attempts don't matter once you have achieved."

Here's wishing Aafreen good luck for the grand finale of Femina Miss India!

Sadly, we are living in times that have lost the sense of sin and, as a result, we see around us an eruption of styles of dress which are, in every way, contrary to modesty. We must not allow ourselves to be carried along by the spirit of the world but must firmly resist such deviations...

Purity of heart requires the modesty which is patience, decency, and discretion. Modesty protects the intimate center of the person.

Bandumam was just spitting out his frustration as he is not the guy among those Angels (as we call beautiful ladies) instead that guy taking his place.....
For your information, Bandu is a handsome guy and it's day and night between those two (White\black etc.)
Poor Bandu - he knows many VAZs\Mascarehnas\Machados etc. in and around Mangalore who would have won all beauty contests if they had entered into those.

A few lines on modesty, which is the guardian virtue of purity... Modesty is required for all of us as it protects the intimate center of our person. modesty is refusing to unveil what should remain hidden. It is ordered to chastity to whose sensitivity it bears witness. It guides how one looks at others and behaves toward them in conformity with the dignity of persons and their solidarity.

Modesty protects the mystery of persons and their love. It encourages patience and moderation in loving relationships it requires that the conditions for the definitive giving and commitment of man and woman to one another be fulfilled. Modesty is decency. It inspires one's choice of clothing. It keeps silence or reserve where there is evident risk of unhealthy curiosity. It is discreet.

There is a modesty of the feelings as well as of the body. It protests, for example, against the voyeuristic explorations of the human body in certain advertisements, or against the solicitations of certain media that go too far in the exhibition of intimate things. Modesty inspires a way of life which makes it possible to resist the allurements of fashion and the pressures of prevailing ideologies.

The forms taken by modesty vary from one culture to another. Everywhere, however, modesty exists as an intuition of the spiritual dignity proper to the human person. It is born with the awakening consciousness of being a subject. Teaching modesty to children and adolescents means awakening in them respect for the human person.

Having played in the field ' a little' I know a thing or two about photos.
    1.Photos 1 and 3 are smashing.
    2. Photo no 2 was clicked when Aafreen just woke up and without washing teeth and all that.
    4. Photo N0 4 can be captioned 'Lost Babes'and even Aafreen would
not be have been able to spot herself in the 'Spot Aafreen Contest'.
5.Last Photo:The odd man's stands out..errr I mean the Odd Man Stands Out. That chap is indeed odd. The rest are smashing.
6.'Walking the Ramp and Owning' gives her a high ...Is it?
    First it's like that only....
    Then 'other things' take over....
For men models and all...It is a different thing which gives them a 'high'...Is it not?
    7. A.J. Shetty aa? ABCD- aa?
Both 'locals' for us. However, someone from outside will think it's International...no problem here.....Is it not?
    8. Which Campus Contest? Where Srinivas and Raghavendra rao- walked the ramp-aa?
    That contest -she won-aa ? Good.Good.
Anyways all the best Aafreen Vaz.
Win everything that comes your way.
However, please a keep cool head., and may it always rest on your shoulders.
    God bless.
