Mysuru: Boy falls into sambar cauldron - dies of burns

Mysuru, Mar 17: A boy, who had accidentally fallen into a cauldron of boiling sambar on Sunday March 15, died of burn injuries on Monday. The deceased has been identified as Vijay (6), son of Krishne Gowda-Susheela couple from Yaladahalli near Saligrama in K R Pet taluk in the district.

The boy had gone to Saligrama with his parents, who are farmers, for attending the marriage of a relative. During this visit, Vijay, who was playing, suddenly ran into the kitchen and fell into the boiling sambar. He was rushed to a private hospital in the city for treatment. However, he succumbed to injuries on Monday.

A report stands filed in Periyapatna police station relating to this incident.
