Narrow escape for scribes as car catches fire


Gurgaon, March 17 (IANS): Two journalists had a narrow escape when their car caught fire here on Tuesday, police said.

Dharambir Sharma, a journalist with a TV channel, and his cameraman were in the car when it caught fire on the Southern Peripheral Road near Hasanpur in Sector 74.

Sharma, who was driving the car, saw smoke coming out of the bonnet and immediately stopped the vehicle.

As soon as the two came out of the car, a blaze engulfed it.

A fire tender was rushed to the spot but the car was completely gutted before it arrived.
