Mangaluru: Seven arrested for stopping college tour at Mudipu, stone-pelting at mosque

Daijiworld Media Network - Mangaluru (MD)

Mangaluru, Mar 17: Seven persons have been arrested in connection to the moral policing case at Mudipu wherein Bajrang Dal activists had stopped a bus carrying college students on an educational tour to Bengaluru and Mysuru.

The arrests also were in connection to the stone-pelting at Noorania Juma mosque which followed the bus incident.

DCP Santhosh Babu informed this to media persons prior to the road safety meeting at DC's office here on Tuesday March 17.

The DCP said that three cases have been registered and seven persons arrested so far. Also, three two-wheelers and one car has been seized.

He said two teams, each led by ACP south and CCB, have been formed to investigate the case and stone-pelting on the mosque.

"Further investigations are on. We want to finish the probe and close this case as soon as possible," the DCP said.

The incident took place on the night of Saturday March 14 when a group of around 300 Bajrang Dal activists stopped a bus taking students and four teachers of a college on an educational tour to Bengaluru and Mysuru, allegedly because the boys and girls in the bus belonged to different communities. The activists went on a rampage, pelting stones at the bus and later at Noorania Juma mosque and also allegedly three persons who were travelling in an auto rickshaw.

Let the BD provide special education for the Dalit/backwards hindus, they can snatch basic rights of pupils but cannot provide good facilities for backward people(RSS is running several schools in Karnataka without basic facilities and the pupils taught to hate other religion)..

Wow great. Mangalore known has having the highest literate people are acting really like uneducated. People who have given negative comments here i guess have never been to college or have never taken up family responsibilities. If they had they would know that taking permission from the parents and, lecturers being with them for a study tour is really important for them to reach the top. And for that matter i feel all those who threw stones are not literate nor do they have any jobs to support their families. So the remaining job is going behind the college students and interfering in their lives as to who is doing what. No moral values given too to them forget about education. These have no religion because all religions teach you to live in peace. No religion teaches you to throw stones or hit anyone. There is law that will take care why are you all bothered about the college students. If you really wanted to protect the society please get educated first. COMMON SENSE lacking in these type of people and people supporting them too.Guess some insane people who comment here supporting this group are really sick and A disease to the society. They are spreading a bad VIRUS among the people. But let me warn you we Mangloreans have been together and will be together. Fights will be there but we will not leave each others hands. Be it Hindu, Muslim or Christian or any other religion as far as we know we have to respect humanity before religion we will remain strong. MAngloreans get strong and think strong since we have a big battle to win. We have to win the hearts of the hate mongers and teach them to respect all and live and let live in peace.THe people who are a nuisance to the society actually suffer from mental illness like they dont get importance at home so try to get it in media. WATCH OUT MANGALORE. We need mangalore to be business hub but this will not be possible with this type of personal and communal riots.NAMMA MANGALURU NAMMA GUARAVA.

This BD activist acting like anti national.
The Bajrang Dal is a militant Hindu organization that forms the youth wing of the Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP).[1][2] The ideology of the organization is based on fundamentalist Hindutva.[2][3] Founded on 1 October 1984 in Uttar Pradesh, it has since spread throughout India, although its most significant base remains the northern and central portions of the country. The group runs about 2,500 akhadas, similar to the shakhas of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh. The name "Bajrang" is a reference to the Hindu deity Hanuman.

The Bajrang Dal's slogan is 'sevā surakṣā sanskṛti' or "service, safety, and culture." One of the main goals of the Dal is to build the Ramjanmabhoomi temple in Ayodhya, the Krishnajanmabhoomi temple in Mathura and the Kashi Vishwanath temple in Varanasi, which are currently disputed places of worship. Other goals include protecting India's "Hindu" identity from the perceived dangers of communism, Muslim demographic growth and Christian conversion, as well as the prevention of cow slaughter.

Looks like, hereafter boys and girls should to take permission from Bajrang dal , RSS for everything specially to go to beaches, tours from colleges, malls, to meet friends, to celebrate any functions etc. May be after sometime to take admission in colleges also. Hope not in buses, offices, work place, cinema halls. After taking permission from parents to go for educational tour along with teachers, if Bajrang Dal has problem , then looks like it is difficult to survive in Mangalore. India is a democratic country and no one has the right take law in their own hand. But past one year looks like Government has given permission for these BD people to do whatever they want. Let BD starts one separate college , work place, beaches and parks for their community, if they are feeling unsafe. Now these people dictating full south canara. Today some Bajrang Dal people arrested just for name sake. After few days, they are left free to do whatever they want. Moral Policing will continue on their own way. Thats it. What peace of mind these people are getting God only knows. I don't think so any good educated, well being people join this group for the sake of community.

Both the Congress and the BJP will join together in private, come to an agreement among themselves and this matter will be swept under the carpet. All these speeches and bhashans by these rogue politicians are only for the people. In private, they are all one - in the evening you will find both of them drinking from the same glass. It is the people who have to pour into the streets and try and do something. And this should not be confined only to Kolar or Mangalore.
