Kasargod: Murder of watch shop owner - accused in judicial custody

Kasargod, Mar 18: In connection with the incident in which Suresh (48), who was running a watch sale and service shop at Hosangady, Manjeshwar was murdered, the accused, Abdul Khaleel from Manjeshwara Badaje, was arrested and produced before the magistrate here. Khaleel has been remanded to 14 days judicial custody.

The citizens who saw Khaleel fleeing after committing the said murder in broad daylight, had caught hold of him, and handed him over to the police. The arrest procedures were completed on the night of Tuesday March 17.

Suresh had been stabbed with a knife, due to which he had succumbed on the spot. The knife used for the murder has also been confiscated by the police. The police said that the accused committed this murder due to a pre-existing enmity.
