Stan, It is immoral and illegal in Dubai where you live and love. Technically it is immoral in India with the so called Indian culture but not ILLEGAL. 2 adults can live together without marrying. Grow up and try to live outside that Dubai (outside GCC)to know about world. If they are well educated and rich, they could have gone to the court and police could have been in trouble.

Ash, absolutely right. Mera Bharat Mahan!! They both are over 18 and adults and what's the problem with that. You cant go t beach, you cant go to Park and now you cant even go to Lodge. They should have gone to court against this police and police could have learned a thing or 2. Police is there to to keep the pace safe which they are not doing properly. Did these 2 adults disturbed the peace? gave hate speech? Molested anyone? abducted anyone? pelted stone to place of worship?

I believe there are a big percentage of people (including me) who feel that meeting of opposite sexes without real necessity in secluded areas is not a form of decency.
However, particularly in this incident there is no logic in revealing the secrets of someone (that too without proof)to the open public by arresting and naming them. What benefit the general public has got from this?.
But the public is also right in their action if the so called immoral activities are going on so openly that the guest house has turned out to be an informal red light area. In that case even the real needy person cannot use the services of that guest house out of fear and shame.

We should be asking the question that in the twin district we get lot of informers and substitute policing for suspected couple (only who are vulnerable, having no goonda background). But we do not get informers or such volunteers when there is an attempt to abduct, kidnap or accident case in broad day light. Or is it the Act of those informers during their spare time. Also, lodges patronized by influential people are untouched and same the case of sex racket operated by such people will not be touched by such informers, perhaps they are under their pay-roll.

D K is getting prominence for all the wrong reasons, bad publicity with silly people with silly personnel who need a test every year or two on legal & illegal things to prevent these petty incidents.

I am no supporter of moral policing! But there's an important distinction to be kept in mind. What is legal NEED NOT be moral What is moral is (at least should be) legal
-Morality almost always precedes law, giving the reason of it.
-Law is meant to sanction morality, putting it into an enforceable code.
-Therefore law is a public expression of social morality and also is its sanction.

Again, I am no supporter of moral policing!

Luckily both were from same community otherwise the news would have published this way “ The locals saw a couple belong to different community entering the guest house. The locals developed suspicion over the two some as the boy and girl belonged to different communities and also because of their indecent behavior. They assaulted the boy and called the local police. The local police took the boy into their custody and they are doing the investigation.
Next day: Due to pressure from XXX party police arrested 7 members of YYY dal for assaulting the boy belong to a particular community.
Third day: YYY Called for Udupi Band , and demanded the release of their members as they are innocent and government is doing appeasement of a particular community.
Day 4: As a result of the Band in Udupi, the students could not attend the classes today. Shops were closed and commuters find difficulty in moving from one place to another. Miscreants pelted stones on places of worship and the authorities promised of strict action against the culprits.

" The locals who saw them enter the guest house grew suspicious and informed the police ". First the locals have no job they only sit and observe and secondly they get suspicious on everything. The hight of time pass.

RP, Looks like while you were young you were deprived and had a very bad time with females and your job, that's why you are in Bahrain, and commenting like a fool. And as said by JNB, when there is an accident , the very same people are spectators !!!
