Bangarpet MLA pressured Ravi, says father-in-law

IAS officer had no family issues bothering him: Hanumantharayappa

Bengaluru, Mar 19 (DHNS): Ravi’s father-in-law Hanumantharayappa on Wednesday said that Bangarpet MLA S N Narayanaswamy had pressured Ravi in support of Confident Group, a real estate firm accused of encroaching government land in Kolar district.

Hanumantharayappa said that because of this pressure, he had requested Chief Minister Siddaramaiah to transfer Ravi to any post in Bengaluru.

Hanumantharayappa, a Congress leader, was addressing a press meet at his house at Mallathahalli in Nagarabhavi.

“During Ravi's stint as Kolar DC, there was pressure from politicians. Narayanaswamy was favouring Confident Group and had been putting pressure on Ravi. When Ravi told me about repeated threats and pressures, I requested the chief minister to post my son-in-law in Bengaluru. I have never interfered in his work, except during his transfer from Kolar,” he said.

Hanumantharayappa said that Ravi had no family issues bothering him. “I have been reading some reports that my daughter was not ready to live with Ravi’s parents. I would like to clarify that all these reports are false. In fact, my daughter wanted to move to the apartment since the government-allotted quarters in Vasanthnagar was under renovation. My daughter wanted to move into the apartment along with Ravi’s parents. During the weekend, Ravi had spoken to the engineer in charge of renovation work of the quarters and told him that he would visit the house along with my daughter for inspection,” Hanumantharayappa said.

Asked about the statement by Home Minister K J George that the suicide was due to some personal problem, Hanumantharayappa said Ravi was not the one who would commit suicide.

“On Monday morning, Ravi was normal. He received a call from Kalaburagi regarding work and he told the caller to meet him on Tuesday to discuss the issue. If it turns out to be true that Ravi committed suicide owing to personal reasons, I feel he has betrayed his parents, his wife and his in-laws,'' Hanumantharayappa said.

Asked about the reports that Ravi had made the last call to an IAS officer, Hanumantharayappa said a detailed probe would reveal all aspects.

“His phone call record details will throw up all details. I demand a thorough investigation into the case by CBI or any such agency. He would have left a note if he had committed suicide. The police in our presence searched for the suicide note in his pockets and purse, however nothing was found. I had even called Deputy Commissioner of Police (Southeast) Rohini Katoch Sepat on Wednesday morning to know if any note was found during the investigation. She said the probe has been handed over to CID. Even if he faced any threats with his present assignment, probe will reveal everything,” he said.

Here, our CM is buying time so that vital proof and evidence is either destroyed or of no use for forensic lab and fooling public by delaying tactics as after 1 week in this busy life, who will remember all these things? Come on CM, dnt be so foolish to think that people of Karnataka will forget and forgive. A honest IAS officer is dead under mysterious circumstance and why are you hiding or fearing if you or your party colleagues have done nothing wrong? Come clean Mr. CM and hand over the case immediately

With due respect to Mr. Ravi, let his soul rest in peace.
Now it's the turn of George and other minister to commit suicide on their own with no trace of reason and circumstance. Infact these ministers family must also commit suicide on their own and they must be wiped out from the list. In their and their families interest they kill innocent officers.

All Kannadigas must wake up and give a hell life the ministers of Karnataka, who are good for nothing. Mr. Sidda, I don't know what the hell he is doing. There are so many race and religion issue which the state govt. is not ready to listen and solve the problem. Whereas in reality the people of DK, there is no hatred among themselves on each others religion. This is all ignited by the dirty politicians.
Kannadigas must wake up and fight against this corrupt politicians and bring a secular govt. into the state of Karnataka. Jai Karnataka, Jai Hind.

What Rubbish? A person who was so brave and did not fear the mafias will go for suicide and that too for silly reasons. Please stop making it a personal issue when we all know its not. We are not fools to listen to this rubbish. A brave person like him can never go for a suicide. Lets hope to get the full report. And at least respect his courage and let his soul rest in peace. His soul might not be in peace if wrong report is revealed. TRUTH WILL PREVAIL.

Before the relevant and important Files go missing from this case ..time to hand over this case to the CBI.. or a third party.
since the JANATAH has lost its trust in the entire system..since all are still CORRUPT..
Why should few innocent..brave .. officers and Soldiers die for the nation..while the others blatantly LOOT..ABUSE ..MISUSE. CHEAT? WHY? make tons of money..luxury. enjoy at others cost..
why gove raw deals to the janath..
We the people elect leaders to work for us.. and lead to Economic prosperity and not for them selves.
LAW is to be abided and not broken..
If this is the way it goes.time will come where the JANATHA will Lynch the one responsible like in Nagaland..
better not test the patience eof the public...
before it goes out of hand..
People/janatha is watching.. closely..janatha knows who is ..the corrupt and innocent...
    Indians are smart and intelligent..
but now it is getting out of hand..
Trust on police is fading...as they are all hand in glove..
Before the culprits get LYNCHED better er the cbi handle this case.
and give this Upright officers SOUL rest in peace..as now all like minded indians are like RAVI and his legacy to expose the TRUTH and defend the nation will continue...
we want the truth.. action and full justice...
Every body can make money like the way these leaders are doing... but our heart and conscious and upbringing is to look after the nation and its people befor eus.

Irrespective of support to any political party - Support for the one who works for the real cause & for the upliftment of society -

    1) What are the Union Ministers doing now ? Forget about the useless State Government.

    2) What is BJP/CONGRESS YUVA MORCHA ETC., of this state doing ? Probably, discussing the next party strategy to loot people/preparing for a group picture (posing for a dramatic PRATIBHATANE) to be posted in FB.

    3) How difficult it is to trace the culprit(s) for these high profile political leaders ?

    4) If this same had happened to any of your (politician's family member's) son/in-law would you handle it in the same manner ?

Don't forget this - "you selfish politicians" (past, present & budding politicians) are elected not to work for the people but just for yourselves, your family & friends. People are watching you carefully.

In a previous comment on a related article I wrote:

There are a very few like D.K. Ravi for whom their honesty is their honor and which they cherish even above their own life.

Ravi's death is only a media sensation which will linger for a while and provide all of us with opportunites for our erstwhile comments. Unfortunately for his wife, child, parents and siblings it is an irreparable loss.

If the statement appearing in the article above: 'influential politician wanted Ravi to reduce the Rs 40 crore penalty levied on his firm to Rs 40 lakh' has a miniscule of truth in it then one can imagine what happens to the taxpayers money, OUR money only 1 percent gets accounted for while 99 percent gets embezzled by our own elected representatives.

What are we doing? Silently watching all the Ravis hang themselves?

    2 days over.
    1) the post mortem report has been fixed to echo the expert analysis in the first hours of murder by the Cong CM.
    2) Call records would have been accessed and sanitised to shield all important people
    3) New reports are emerging that some notes files of DK Ravis most recent pursuits have been taken over by CID & sanitized to protect Home minister & DK Shivkumar, both with max links to the culprits
    4) In another couple of days, case will be handed over to CBI and they will find zilch.

This is justice for you, my friends. I sometimes wonder why our parents and teachers force us to walk on the path of righteousness.

We are ruled by 10 people and out of this 9 are corrupt/rapist/murderers. So there is no chance to get good governess. If our 9 politicians are good and 1 is bad than this one may change his habits as good and we may get good governess. Now how 1 person can give good governess when his 9 politicians are bad. Next time people may teach these parties who is giving governess like this.

There is a big twist in the story now..It is suspected that a lady IAS officer who was Mr.Ravi's batchmate too was behind Ravi's mysterious death..Mr.Ravi made 44 telephone calls in one hour to this lady IAS officer..As Ravi was discussing his plans with his colleagues to raid important places, this lady might have leaked this information to real estate owners/builders/politicians and these crucked people used her nicely to trap Ravi..He might have fallen in the web..So out of shame,he might have committed suicide or forced to commit suicide..

1.Ravi raided EMBASSY BUILDERS office owned by Home Minister's son and chareged fine of Rs 40 crores who asked Ravi to bring it to Rs.40 lakhs from Rs.40 crores.Ravi turned down his request.

2.Raided Cinema Halls,Jewellery shops and collected huge money as fine..

So, all enemies joined together and planned Chakravyuha to trap Ravi..He entered CHAKRAVYUHA and didn't return alive like Abhimanyu..

This is just a joke. If they handover the case to CBI or FBI, nothing will happen. People knows this is murder and top politicians are involved in this. If it is suicide case, why the Government is not giving this case to CBI. So many politicians are caught in corruption, rapes, murders and attacking Public or public servants and how many were punished. When we ask our C.M. or P.M. than the simple answer is we will investigate, and public will wait for investigation than after some time everyone will forget this case and only family members will suffer.
